Nutrition for Hypoglycemia

Dietary Principles:

 

*  Eat 4 to 6 small meals throughout the day, maintaining your     normal caloric intake.

 

*  Snack on almonds and sour apples

 

*  Maintain a high fiber, high complex carbohydrate diet.

 

*  Elimination/rotation diet, rotation diet, rotation diet    expanded

 

*  Eat 2 to 3 egg whites every morning

 

Therapeutic Foods:

 

Complex carbohydrates (whole grains), sweet rice, brown rice, yams, potatoes, tofu, soybeans, corn, fish, chicken, vegetables, black beans, seeds and nuts, kelp, dulse, Swiss chard, turnip greens, egg yolks (no more than 3 per week), wheat germ, cod roe, lecithin, sesame seed butter, and raw goat's milk

 

Fresh Juices:  (Try each one until you find a juice that benefits you.)

 

Pineapple, egg yolk, wheat germ, and dulse

Black cherry concentrate, egg yolk, and chlorophyll

 

Foods to Avoid:

 

Any food that produces an intolerance, sugars, honey, simple carbohydrates, white flour, fructose, syrups, sweet and dried fruits, fatty, fried, or stimulating foods, most fruit juices, coffee, teas and colas containing caffeine, and alcohol

 

Specific Supplements:

 

B complex - 75 mg. a day

 

Chromium - 400 mcg. a day

 

Vitamin C - 3 grams a day

 

Calcium - 500 mg. a day

 

Niacinamide - 1 gram a day

 

Vitamin B5 - 500 mg. a day

 

Vitamin B6 - 150 mg. a day

 

Liver extract or protomorphogens - Take as directed.

 

Adrenal protomorphogens - Take as directed.
