Nutrition for Miscarriage

These recommendations are for women who have already had a misscarriage!

Therapeutic Foods:

 

Chicken, egg yolks, foods that nourish the blood and tonify the spleen, stomach, and kidneys; bland foods.

 

Specific Remedies:

 

For a threatened miscarriage, try the following: Take 1 oz. of raisins and l/2 oz. of red dates; add water, steam and serve.

 

Foods to Avoid:

 

Hot sauces, spicy, fried, fatty, salty, processed and refined foods; cow's milk and other dairy products, white bread, catarrh-forming foods: tofu, meat, ice cream, cold foods; sugar and sweets, coffee, teas and colas containing caffeine, and alcohol.

 

Specific Supplements:

 

Vitamin E - 200 I.U. a day

 

Citrus bioflavonoids - 200 mg. 3 x day

 

Selenium - 200 mcg. a day
