Nutrition for Pelvic Inflammation Dietary Principles:
During Acute Phase:
* Eat as little as possible.
* Increase fluids.
* Go on a 1 to 2 day fast.
* If you're on a regular diet, try a vegetarian diet high in vegetables and complex carbohydrates. If on a vegetarian diet, try a pure fruit and vegetable diet or a short fast.
Therapeutic Foods:
Mung beans, daikon radishes, carrots, and foods rich in Vitamin C, Zinc and B-complex (wheat germ), pumpkin and other seeds
Fresh Juices: (Try each one until you find a juice that benefits you.)
Lemon juice in water (on an empty stomach in the morning) Carrot Celery Apple Lettuce and dandelion juice Parsley 2 Tbsp. mung bean powder - 2 x day
Foods to Avoid:
Meat, hot sauces, spicy, fried, fatty, salty or stimulating foods; coffee, teas or colas that contain caffeine, and alcohol
Specific Supplements:
Vitamin C - 6 grams a day during acute phase, then decrease to 2 grams a day
Zinc - 60 to 90 mg. a day
Vitamin A - 25,000 I.U. a day
