Nutrition for Reflux or Dyspepsia

Dietary Principles:

 

*  Eat small meals frequently throughout the day

 

*  Increase foods rich in Vitamin A (yellow vegetables)

 

Fresh Juices:  (Try each one until you find a juice that benefits you.)

 

Carrot and spinach

Carrot, beet, and cucumber

Carrot, spinach, celery, and parsley

 

Also Try These:

 

6 oz. freshly blended pineapple juice, once or twice a day

6 oz. papaya, 3 times a day after meals

2 oz. fresh coriander blended with a small amount of sesame oil

Almond milk

 

Foods and Beverages to Avoid:

 

Meat, hot sauces, spicy, fried, fatty, and salty foods, chocolate, tomatoes, sugar and sweets, coffee, cola and teas that contain caffeine, and alcohol

 

 

Specific Supplements:

 

Hydrochloric acid - About 2 weeks after acute phase begin with 5 grains and increase slowly to level of tolerance.

 

Digestive enzymes - Papaya - as directed

 

Choline - 3 grams a day

 

Lecithin - 6 caps a day

 

B12 - Take in sublingual form (under the tongue) if you are on cimetidine (Tagamet).
