Nutrition for Sciatica

Therapeutic Foods:

 

Olives, rye, lima beans, rice bran, bananas, sprouts, watercress, and apples

 

Fresh Juices: (Try each one until you find a juice that benefits you.)

 

Potato peel broth

Dried olive tea

Nut milk and liquid chlorophyll

Carrot and spinach

Carrot, beet, and cucumber

Carrot, beet, and celery

Carrot, celery, parsley, and spinach

Carrot and parsley

Celery

 

 

Foods to Avoid:

 

Meat, hot sauces, spicy, fried, fatty, and salty foods; foods containing preservatives (i.e. cold cuts of meat, peanut butter), sugar and sweets, coffee, teas and colas containing caffeine, and alcohol

 

Specific Supplements:

 

Vitamin B-complex - 150 mg. a day

 

Vitamin B1 - Take as directed.

 

Vitamin B12 - sublingual, 1,000 mg. a week

 

Vitamin D - Take as directed.

 

Vitamin E - 800 I.U. a day; (Start at 200 I.U. and increase to 800 I.U. over 4 weeks.)

 

Histadine - Take as directed.
