Nutrition for TMJ Dietary Principles:
* Eat soft foods that do not require heavy chewing or use of the front teeth for biting.
* To avoid hypoglycemia: (TMJ may have an association with this condition.) -Eat 4 to 5 small meals throughout the day. -Maintain a high fiber, high complex carbohydrate diet. -Eat little or no sugar. -Elimination/rotation diet, rotation diet, rotation diet expanded

Olives, rye, lima beans, rice bran, bananas, sprouts, watercress, and apples

Foods to Avoid:
Any food that produces an intolerance or contributes to hypoglycemia: sugars, honey, simple carbohydrates, white flour, fructose, syrups, sweet and dried fruits; fatty, fried, or stimulating foods; most juices, coffee, teas and colas containing caffeine, and alcohol
Specific Supplements:
Magnesium - 1 gram a day
Calcium - 500 mg. a day
Vitamin B-complex - 150 mg. a day
Vitamin C - 3 grams a day
